Peripheral Figure
I used to live and work right
in the heart of the Red Light District.
But it got too crowded.
Stroopwafels— you know the drill.
Like a splinter, I was slowly
pushed out of the city center.
Now I work in Buitenveldert,
on the edge of the city.
There, I set my own rhythm.
I can still head into the center—
and just as easily leave again.
Working from the outside in.
First observe. Get out. Then create.
That’s where my best work happens:
in the periphery.
